In her early years, along with her father, she operated Bill's Fruit Store in the "Hollow" section of the East Side of Manchester. Until his retirement, he was a field service technician with Pitney Bowes, Inc. Thomas was a member of Professional Bull Riders, and the New Hampshire Country Music Association. She also enjoyed driving and had the unique ability to operate anything from automobiles, to motorcycles, tractors, and commercial size trucks.
